Foot Locks and Aerial Chops - All-Levels Silks with Adrienne Knauer

Sundays, June 9, 23 and 30, 2024 | 5:30-6:30pm @ 4939 Broadway Avenue

Description: Each class will focus on a different type of foot lock and some poses and sequences that flow well from that type of foot lock.  Come learn about different options for foot locks and why one type might work better than others to achieve your aerial goals, such as allowing you to seamlessly string together moves in a routine by avoiding a situation where you might get "stuck" or saving time with a foot lock that quickly sets you up for your next move.  In addition, there will be a variety of new poses and sequences to play with.  There will be options for every skill level, many of which can be done at any height.

Instructor Bio: Adrienne took a chance on her first aerial silks class in 2011, became immediately hooked, and has been flying ever since. She has taught and performed in Cleveland since 2012, and directed/performed in our first self-produced show, “The Seance, a Creepy Cabaret” in 2019. Adrienne enjoys focusing on complicated aerial sequences, choreographing routines with character development, and experimenting with fabric theory. She also enjoys the big drops. Adrienne offers a variety of aerial silks workshops that focus on specific types of movement, linking sequences together, and improving technique.

Prerequisites: None

Price: $60 for all three sessions (June 9, 23, and 30). Participants must register for the entire series (no drop-in classes permitted). The class fee includes open gym time after the class (6:30-8:00pm)
