Jaime Bouvier specializes in duo skills. She started learning aerial silks at the Studio Cleveland in 2010 and came to Sokol Greater Cleveland for the higher ceilings. In 2015, she did a summer intensive in aerial hoop at the New England Center for Circus Arts [NECCA] to which she regularly returns for classes and workshops. Since then she has studied in France at the Les Rencontres de Danses Aerienne, at The Island in Bristol, England, at La Caserne in Montreal, Canada, as well as schools all over North America, with a special shout out to Iron City Circus Arts in Pittsburgh and HAG in Hamilton, Ontario. She has also taught workshops across North America and Europe in trapeze, straps, rope, lyra, hammock, silks, partner acrobatics, and stilt dancing. She received first place with Colleen Agozzini in duo-lyra at the 2019 Aerialympics in St. Louis. She has performed professionally, with circus companies, in full-length productions, and many many corporate gigs, on all of these apparatus solo, and more happily with a partner, and most happily inventing new skills and tricks. She is also a director, an actor, and a performance artist. Her antics have been written up by Case Western’s Daily and the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
