Join us for a weekend of acro! This workshop will be day two of a two-day l-basing acro intensive.
This workshop will include some unique icarian pops you may not have seen or tried before. We will cover technique and safe spotting practices to make these accessible. Option to tempo and seeing together sequences of pops for more advanced practitioners.
Instructor Bio: Visiting from Connecticut, John Thorpe has been a teacher of movement for over 10 years when he started as a fitness coach. His roots began in powerlifting and evolved into many different movement practices, including snowboarding, aerial straps, rock climbing, and hand balancing. John’s biggest passion has been nerding out over partner acrobatics in all it’s forms. You can catch him doing all things acro – fast and flowy washing machines, icarian, whips, and dynamic standing are amongst his favorites. Check out his Instagram.
Prerequisites: some basic Icarian experience — throne straight throws & bird straight throws (These workshops will be intermediate with options to level up or down depending on your skill level)
Cost: $50 for Sunday only or $90 for Saturday & Sunday
Each workshop includes a free day pass to the open gym on that day (3-8 PM)
