Lyra Doubles with Maribel Esperanza

POSTPONED: Please check back soon for updated schedule!

Description: In this workshop, we will learn the fundamentals of partner/duo Lyra, including symmetrical and asymmetrical poses and transitions, basing and flying, under in and above the hoop.

Instructor Bio: Maribel Esperanza has been teaching aerial hoop or lyra for 4 years and practicing aerial arts for almost 5 years. She teaches different level classes in lyra and in all levels she focuses on conditioning skills to help the student get to the next level and become more proficient in the moves/skills they have already learned. Maribel loves teaching rolls and interesting transitions, but lately has been adding more flexy moves to her curriculum to have more variety. In every class, Maribel makes sure to demonstrate regressions and progression of moves so the students can feel accomplished to have learned one or two moves at the end of class, if not a whole one minute combo!

Prerequisites: All levels welcome. Some knowledge of beginner-level lyra moves is helpful, but not necessary.

Cost: $60 for all three sessions. Participants must register for the entire series (no drop-in classes permitted). The class fee includes open gym time after the class (6:30-8:00PM)
